Town of Plymouth Plan of Conservation and Development

The Town of Plymouth recently updated its Plan of Conservation & Development.  Below is a link to the final copy.

For comments/feedback, please contact the Land Use Office by email form or by calling 860-585-4043.

Plymouth's Plan of Development, adopted in 1993, lays framework for consolidating industrial and commercial areas to provide more cohesive land use cores nearer public utilities and highway access. To that end, the Planning & Zoning Commission and its staff coordinate efforts with the business community and the Economic Development Commission to facilitate economic growth. The largest single project currently before the Economic Development Commission is Phase III of the Plymouth Business Park.  The Business Park Phase III lots along with detailed information and photos are listed on CERC SiteFinder.

Through the zoning/wetlands enforcement officer, all zoning and sign permits are issued and compliance with all land use and inland wetlands regulations is monitored.

The Land Use Office also works closely with the Mayor's Office to negotiate special incentive packages in support of significant development projects. The Town's Small Cities and HOME grants are also monitored through the office.

The Land Use Office is committed to local economic growth, maintenance of a diversified and balanced tax base and the continued quality of life of our community.

See permits and licenses for information on the following permits and/or licenses: building additions, amendment application, commercial building, construction trailer permits, certificate of use and compliance, deck, erosion control plan, fill or excavation, home occupation, manufacturing, monuments, new home, plan of development, pools, public utility permits per section 4.11, subdivision, zoning, wetlands, sheds/accessory building, signs, zone change, zoning board of appeals, renewal permits per section 8.212 and tag sale permits.
