The Plymouth Property Owners Association is a subsidiary of the Greater Bristol Property Owners Association (GBPOA).  Their goals as a nonprofit organization are to inform and educate communities on property, landlord, and tenant issues.  They work diligently to preserve all housing to the degree that they would like all properties in our communities maintained and to encourage local rental residents to be responsible citizens.  Income property owners need the community's understanding and support to gain a better chance at legally controlling their investment in order to preserve quality housing and neighborhoods.  There is no better way to do that than to insist on responsibility of citizens, whether owners or renters.

General membership meetings are combined with GBPOA's and held at the Bristol City Hall, North Main Street, Bristol, usually on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.

These shawls are meant to be given away unconditionally and NOT sold for profit.  Many blessings are knitted/crocheted into every shawl.

Some of the uses for the shawls are the birth of a baby, Christening, bridal shower gift, a comfort after a loss, prayer or meditation, during an illness and recovery, or a special birthday.  There are endless possibilities.

Terryville Fish & Game Club
21 Grove Street
Terryville, CT  06786
(860)584-0949

The Terryville Fish and Game club is a Member owned Club, meaning all members are equal partners. Their property is located in Terryville with fronting on Harwinton Ave. and Bemis St. It consists of two ponds - Upper Pond with 5.6 acres, Middle Pond with 13.4 acres and 14.16 acres of surrounding, mostly wooded land making a total of 33.16 acres. The clubhouse is located on Grove St. It consists of a small hall with a large fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen.

The property originally belonged to the Eagle Lock Co. of Terryville, which was the main industry in town. The ponds were man-made by the company in the late 1800's to provide power for factory. Two dams were constructed to hold water from the Pequabuck River.

Eagle Lock's officers and foreman used the area for recreational purposes, and had an informal arrangement with a group (later Terryville Fish and Game) allowing them to enjoy the area as well. Later on, in 1950, the Terryville Fish and Game leased the property from the Lansing Foundation, a successor for the Eagle Lock Co., and ultimately in 1972 purchased it from them for $25,000.
