Lantern Tours of the Plymouth Burying Ground (on the National Register of Historic Places)

The tours begin at 7 pm at the Plymouth Congregational Church on the Green (10 Park St.). First, we’ll go inside the Church and listen to “spooky music” played on the pipe organ, then go into the Burying Ground and discover how the engravings and inscriptions on the gravestones tell us what life was like in colonial Connecticut.  From there we’ll explore the historic Plymouth Green, followed by free cider at Antiques at the Green.  The tour will last about 1-1/2 hours. Rain dates are Oct. 5 and Nov. 2 respectively. $5 for adults, kids under 18 free. Reservations required by emailing  plymouth.historical@yahoo.com or calling 860-921-6118.
