The Plymouth Historical Society will lead a walking tour of the Plymouth Burying Ground on October 22 at 10 am. The cemetery dates to 1747, with thirty-eight veterans of the Revolutionary War laid to rest here. Discover how the symbols and inscriptions on the gravestones provide clues to life in colonial Connecticut. The tour includes a house on the Underground Railroad and a visit to a secret passageway for slaves escaping to freedom.
Suggested donation is $10 for adults, under 18 free. Meet in front of the Congregational Church at 10 Park Street, Plymouth. Space is limited.
