The annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM at the Veterans Memorial on Baldwin Park on Saturday November 11th. The Post will gather at the park at 10:50 AM. Please arrive early because the Ceremony will begin at exactly 11:00 AM with the ringing of a bell 11 times to pay homage to the Armistice, the origin of Veterans Day. On Armistice Day bells were rung around the world to signify the end of The Great War. After the ringing we will be conducting a ceremony to celebrate the military service that our residents have given to Our Great Nation. After the Ceremony, American Legion Post 20 invites all Plymouth Veterans, regardless of membership, to our Post for a complimentary pasta dinner put on by our Auxiliary at 12:00 PM. There will be a presentation by Donna Dognin from the Veterans Strong Community Center on available resources and benefits. Spouses are welcome to attend as well. Any Veteran eligible for membership that shows up to our Post on Veterans day with a DD-214 and fills out an application will receive free membership for the first year.
