On October 1, from 11am – 5pm, downtown Terryville will be the site of what has
become its annual block party. The first party was in 2021 to celebrate Plymouth’s 225th
anniversary.
At the Terryville Congregational Church, at 233 Main Street, there will be local bands,
children’s activities, live animal demonstrations, crafters, balloon animals, face painting, mini-
pumpkin painting, food vendors, and a stiltwalker.
Across the street, the Terryville Library will have displays of Plymouth’s history,
reenactors of Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers, and the legendary Old Leatherman.
The Lock Museum at 230 Main Street will have an open house, and is sponsoring
scavenger hunts both inside the Museum and in downtown.
At the Eli Terry, Jr. Middle School at 21 North Main Street, there will be axe throwing, a
crafts fair, and live music. North Main Street will be closed between Main Street
and Baldwin Park Lane for food trucks and a display of antique fire trucks.
